Title: Someone have an idea?
Post by: obob on 28 July 2006, 13:31
Ok, anyone have an idea how I can find a pinout for the power output board that connects to the Compaq 298581-001 Hotplug PSU from the Proliant 3000 and 5500 series servers? I need to figure out how to jump it into the on position, lol (The server itself is dead, but the SCSI array cage works, but this is the only PSU that can power it (due to connectors) so I figured i'd have a little SCSI set-up...but I need to jump this thing on).

Also, anyone think it'd go if I just route + and - together from one of the lines?

Ah, Compaq problems. Compaq just won't die already :(
I believe HP provides connectors for these kinds of situations, have you tried contacting them?

A well placed sledgehammer hit should do the trick ...

Maybe something like that would work. Depending the power it needs you can always try  making your own cables.

ok, well then, etement I already know how to rig that type of thing up, but this isn't like that, at all, i'm not sure if running a + and - will either A) trip this thing (because it's server hardware, it's about as sensitive as a hemophiliac with no skin) B) actually work...
