Although many people say that there is no xbox emulator and there wont be one there is one side that will have an xbox emulator within a few months Caustic (http://www.caustik.com/xbox/).
I believe that an xbox emulator will have a death affect on Microsoft Games because they don't even sell more than Gamecube, their console is the worst console ever (as you will read in Caustics web the fact is that XBOX OS is much similar to Windows Xp that's why it sucks), they don't have the monopoly in Games (only three games were published exclusively on XBOX) so if you can play those few Games that are published only on XBOX on your PC what's the reason to buy it???
And since XBOX Games can be copied why buy them?
Don't support Microsoft MS sucks.

Actually, I thought the Virtual Boy was the worst console ever.
-
I think Xbox is selling better than GC now in America (fucking horny morons buying it for DOAXBV, no doubt.)
-
I don't now in USA but I now fo sure it's selling more than xbox in Europe an japan.
Although GameCube is not a hell of a console it has a few great exclusive Games and it has faster ram than xbox(their cpu speed is the same)
-
Actually theres a great X Box emulator for computers already available - link to X Box emulator (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/default.asp)
:D

well hurray for captain obvious ;)

I don't know guys but as far as I know no emulator runs retail games yet only demos. But i will try this one.

I get the feeling that the N64, GBA, and PS1 are the last systems that can be properly emulated without having top of the line hardware(REALLY top of the line). Actually, they probably don't even have GC, XBOX, PS2 properly emulated yet, regardless of speed. I don't know for certain, but I'm far too pessimistic to have faith. (http://smile.gif)

The Xbox doesn't have a BSOD. It has a GSOD (http://members.chello.nl/hf.wees/xbox_gsod.jpg).
-
Purty.
You know somethings wrong when instead of trying to get rid of errors they make them look nice so they get fun to look at. ;)

No. Hurray for Captain Planet.
I rather dislike Captain Obviousman (http://www.ucomics.com/mixedmedia/) on his dull weekday strips.

Yeah, it's late but don't diss the Virtual Boy! That thing would have been the shit if they had developed more for it.
Anyways...
I don't think that emulating the xbox would mean MS Games' death. It may actually breathe life into them because some of the games that the xbox has aren't that bad. And if they're emulated, then that's that many more system that MS can target for their games. And if I remember correctly, they make most of their money from the games.
Lazygamer:
The gamecube may not be emulated anytime too soon except for people who own Macs, since it's a PPC based system. Even then, you'll have to get past the copy-protection.
-
/Imagines the day that X-box is emulated:
MES HARDCORE MEMBER:ARGGGH NO! DON'T PIR8 THOSE X-BOX GAMES AND USE THAT X-BOX EMULATOR! YOUR JUST HELPING TO KEEP MS ALIVE! ;)
I get the feeling that there is a huge amount of people who realize X-box sucks for one reason or another(but don't quite get the message about MS/Windows). Because of this, X-box emulators will probably progress slower than normal.
-
my xbox has jammed up twice. No blue screen, it has a more OS 9 type of Jam up. Justs stops, everything stops and u push eject and it resets.
-
I think the problem with emulating the cube and PS2 is that they both run PPC processors.
an XBox emulator seems fairly simple once someone figures out the XBox API. remember, the XBox runs standard NT binaries via a new API layer. Rumors persist that Longhorn will include a subset of the XBox APIs so that publishers can make badass games.

I played X box for the first time last week when my friends slaughtered me repeatedly at halo for twelve hours straight. Every time I lost I'd go into a coughing fit and I eventually got a bloody nose I was so frustrated. It was great.
-
the macsoft website says that halo is going to be ported on the mac
