When Business 2.0 sought a picture of Bill Gates's hair to superimpose on photos of models to dramatize a story on the Microsoft founder's possible corporate heirs, they couldn't find two depictions that were the same. His hair was always bad, but bad in a different way. And when the editors finally selected a photo to use, the rights were held by a photo archive owned by Mr. Gates himself, Corbis Outline, which ruled that his hair is not severable from his head.

Um... the right to the photo they wanted to use was copyrighted.
