Title: Microsoft and the FBI?
Post by: spinningheel4242 on 18 September 2002, 05:47
I was just wondering if anyone had any news to whether or not Microsoft and the FBI are working in concert for some particular security issues.  For instance, does Microsoft download Carnivore into everyones computer as a "critical update" or is that just some conspiracy theory??  Any thoughts or news on this would be appreciated.

It's on the register so it must be true:

It's not Carnivore but it's close...

Scary. Is windows far too insecure to ever protect yourself from dickwads like the FBI(thank god im Canadian and 1200KM+ from the border)? Perhaps FBI knows wind0ze sucks and uses Linux? Maybe Linux is immune to such BS?
