Title: Rise Up of Men of Tux
Post by: dark_lotus on 22 September 2002, 20:43
Has anyone considered forming a group to try and get large software publishers like Adobe, Macromedia, Newtek, Discreet etc to start making products for Linux as well as Windows.

I know that alot of people would change if they're favorite apps were on linux.

Would people like to make a group? Make the MES go and convince software developers that they should move to linux, with the use of key marketing data, and showing how it can make the organisation make more money.

Thoughts People?

OTOH, maybe press them to design stuff that isn't OS specific, and make executables that interact with the program that are specific to each os. Something along the lines of Quake3A. Trying to get a company to program something specifically for linux would be a little bit harder.
