Just got back from 18mths offline after wimpdoze caused me to hard reboot the pc across the room...
April2004 pcplus - lots of good news - www.pcplus.co.uk (http://www.pcplus.co.uk) - eolus is trying to get $521m from Bill, SFU now free etc. - Mainstream joins the anti-M$ revolution...?

Wow, you've been offline for 18 months and you didn't kill yourself? I'm amused.

I live in an area 30 miles from the nearest public internet access point, where broadband is due in 2010, and they keep finding Japanese POWs from WW2. I visit civilisation about once a year and last time I visited, the shops were shut.
Still, I played with my Landrovers instead. (Only crash due to unstable operators, analogue GUI, and you can kick them all you want...)

Sounds like someone needs sattelite access.

With a $500/mo. price tag?... Might as well get T1... Around $200 smackers a month or so.
