Since I installed the 10.4.4 update, I've noticed that my Bluetooth doesn't work correctly. Given time, it'll indicate being turned off and the option to turn it on is grayed out in both the menu and in System Preferences. Restarting blued has no effect. The first time, a simple reboot fixed the problem, but then it came back (after sleep and wake, I think). An hour ago, I rebooted and reset NVRAM, and so far it's fine, even after testing sleep, but I can't guarentee anything. I'll post back if it breaks again.
(I have a PowerBook G4 12")

I don't use bluetooth. The only thing I would ever use it for is a mouse, and I have a USB mighty mouse.

Well I have a Logitech Bluetooth mouse, and my brother's phone can do Bluetooth transfer, which we've found nifty. So I can't have it breaking like this.

Our PowerBook dosn't do that. Mabey it's a hardware problem? Mabey your particular edition of PowerBook isn't compatible.
I suggest the Apple support site: www.apple.com/support (http://www.apple.com/support)
They might have something.

Compatible with what?
Anyway, it still seems to be working. Perhaps the NVRAM just needed a good reset.

I'm sure this doesn't need mentioning, but it's always a good idea to run maintenance scripts and permissions repair on a regular basis to minimize these problems.
