Virginia Tech University wants to be one of universities and organisations with the top five powerful clusters of computers so they have laid in an order for 1100 dual 2 GHz G5 computers. This means, according to Think Secret (http://www.thinksecret.com), that others who have ordered the dual 2 GHz G5 will have to wait for theirs until VT have got their computers.

I already got my 1.6

oh yeah, and it's hella fast. it's at least three times faster than my G4 867

serisouly man.  VT paid way more than you did and they have deadlines to meet that if go unserved... VT will drop Apple.  Its called business.

I'm not sure why you're quoting me, since that's more or less my point.

Yeah, let's all whine about how some university is going to get a shitload of computers before I do, even though I'm not even getting one.  :-P
