Be afraid x86, be very afraid!
-
The fear. It is dripping from my every sweat pore. Ah. Don't hurt me. Actually I half agree with you - x86 sucks. But then I also think PPC sucks so... I just want one of those lovely little SPARC chips from my CS labs. ;)

i will not ph34r the new 970. i will embrace its superiority to all, and relish (?) in my new found power. you will ph34r me and my new power mac ;)
(okay, maybe I am a little scared ;) )

No one cares. We all know Apple is a dead company.
Oh, and Mac Man: stop editing my posts, fuckwit. I think I deserve a say in this just as much as you do or Psyjax.

Quirk get a life. Apple is the only company that is really doing anything anymore even though they are a small company.
-
Apple is the only company? I agree they make good stuff, but the *only* company? What about the various Linux companies? What about the various not for profit organizations? (Ok so maybe not technically companies...) There are plenty of companies that are "doing something."

And it would be nice if people actually thought before claming that Apple is dead.
Sorry, but this made me really angry.

Er what? Have I said that Apple is dead anywhere?
-
Not talking about you.
Sorry, got carried away. Switching back to my good old thought out posts.
-
OK... just please dont tell me my Debian is trying to "emulate Windows." Err... unless were like talking actual emulators here so I can play games. :D
-
Haha. It's so fun to get you all angry.
Oh, and mushrooomprince: I need to get a life? I'm sorry. I'm not the one crying because somebody made fun of a computing platform.

hmm, well actually this is also total claptrap. apple are one of a large number of companies who are doing promising and interesting things in computing. A small selection of others include IBM, Sun, HP, Red Hat, and though they are not companies, organisations such as the FSF, the OSI, those guys who are in charge of IPv6 and also the W3C are all making stuff happen.
yes go ahead flame me, i know i sound dumb, because of my phraseology, but what i am saying is apple is not by any stretch of the imagination the only company to watch at the moment. I almost forgot to mention intel and amd too.
-
Considering that it is IBM who makes the 970, which is the topic at hand, I would say that this totally destroys the idea that only Apple makes things happen.
But that does not mean that Apple is dead.
-
all platforms suck. but, all of us must choose one or more platforms to use, so in general we go with the platforms that we *PERSONALLY* (hint: opinions, not fact) think are the best. i don't know, but i'm tired of the close-minded morons on forums, i'd love to set them on fire.
yep, i'm the best thing since avril lavinge.
