When is the geforce fx coming to the mac, if ever?
-
With noise levels exceeding 70 dBA, I hope it never does.
-
They supposedly lowered the fan and considerabley reduced the noise level. It looks spiffy though.

If you don't want it don't get it, I can't wait till this thing hits the Mac. I think apple should make this card standard in all of their desktop computers before most PC's even have the option for it.

Maybe there will be an Apple-only version with a massive copper heatsink and 1 quiet fan instead of the whole loud-as-fuck heatsink/blower thing.

They would have to do something about the noise, the newer macs are loud enough as is.

I heard the GeForce FX was kind of a disappointment. I certainly haven't seen anything hard (outside of the NV30 videos) to back up opinions either way.
Well, I guess we'll have to see if the card kicks ass or not. Regardless of its ass-kickage, expect Apple to cut a deal with nVIDIA to include the damn thing in their G4s by the time the FX is just starting to roll out.
