Oh dear god now isn't that the most pathetic thing you ever saw?

Since windows is closed source i wouldn't be a bit surprised if all the windows xp machines were set to self distruct if microsoft went out of business.

Did anyone besides me see what they said about linux ?

Well there's a mixed reaction!

They over-moderate. Freedom of innovation? Why don't they start with freedom of speech...

This is also a quote from their pathetic page:

quote:
I recently read a press release from Microsoft where the Microsoft spokesperson discussed how OSS (Open Source Software) is a threat to software innovation and the Freedom to Innovate by taking away incentive from software developers to create new and useful software tools and applications.

I TOTALLY agree with this assessment. If open source programs and operating systems such as Linux become more popular, it will reduce the number of copies of Windows that are sold, thus reducing revenue for Microsoft and other legitimate producers of software, thus hurting the industry and reducing the amount of investment dollars for improving Windows, Internet Explorer, Office and other software products. What can WE do, as consumers and Microsoft supporters, to stop this plague? Even though Linux is vastly inferior to every version of Windows that is commercially available, some selfish people are starting to use it simply because it is free. Every copy of Linux that is used instead of Windows means that much less money that goes into research and development of new innovative software. At best, the whole concept of OSS is socialist (which makes sense - isn't that Torvaldi jerk from Sweden?) and contrary to the American way.

Isn't there something that can be done to outlaw it? If not that, there must be some way to prevent it from becoming mainstream. I'd be certainly willing to have my tax dollars subsidize Microsoft to help reduce the price of Windows to help it compete against Linux while providing Microsoft with cash to continue new software innovations. That's a much better usage of our tax dollars than this stupid anti-trust trial!!

My reaction was mixed, because in fact I didn't know how to react!    I couldn't believe that I was and am reading this! Pathetic!

This is going to be the shame of the Bill Gates Fan Network!
I cannot hunt the flamers over every community...

GO to their forums and read about how OSS hurts innovation.

Basically what it says is that people use linux because they are selfish and so use linux because it is free. And the less money that goes to microsoft the more they lose and the less we see innovation.

GAG A MAGGOT !

I haven't read much on that site but the highlights seem to have been posted here, and I am shocked, I know one guy whos a Microsoft nut, and a few dozen people who won't use any sofware that isnt made by Microsoft (just that its the only 'brand' they have heard of so its the only one they trust)
but a whole network of people that love the evil empire actually exists on the internet?!? wow

It's such a funny site. Perhaps we need to post more spam over there.
