Title: Is there need a free program that'll open mpp files.
Post by: Aloone_Jonez on 23 June 2005, 23:22
I'm doing some college work with a group of class mates and one of them has given me a disc with a .mpp file on it, I've looked it up and it's a Microsoft Project (which I've never heard of) file, is there a free alternative to this or at least something that'll dopen the file?

I don't give a fuck what the license is freeware/GPL.

ps
I'm pretty desperate, if someone knows a good BitTorrent site where I can get the warez version from, please either email or pm me.

Thanks, but I managed to get to college today, I feel dirty because I had to use Internet Exlporer as it won't work under FireFox. :(

Well I'm glad you made it today, seeing as you seem to have problems getting there so early :)

And
- PowerPoint: ppt (PowerPoinT)
- Project: mpp (Microsoft Project Project?)
- Word: doc (DOCument)
- Excel: xls (eXceL Spreadsheet)
And the rest I cant remember besides listing M$ Office formats is the least interesting thing for me to do :)

Microsoft Project? Thats ancient. I think it was part of Microsoft Works (came with Earlier Windows 95 PCs). That was before Office.

Aloone, I hope you did the routine hygiene after using IE. I was shocked to discover that my older brother used IE all year on my win98/mdk9.2 computer (It is now 100% Ubuntu). I can still smell it from him, though.

I don't worry about that Jenda, IE in Windows XP always removes my full browsing history when I've cleared my history and cache, yes some index.dat files are left but their contents have gone, not that I care as I don't use IE to look at porn anyway. ;)

:) I meant more like spiritual cleansing after using the vile, the repulsing, the genuinely advantageous IE. And XP... Notice how two letter acronyms are always bad and three letter ones good:
IE XP MS UN...
GNU GPL FSF...
... To those who wish to correct me: don't bother :) I'm aware there's also the IRA, the WGA, (I will NOT mention USA)...

Would it be moot at this juncture to say that... you just did?  ;)
