Is there anywhere today where anyone can actually buy a keyboard without those frigging microsoft keys?  (and the stupid menu button)  The sight of _THAT_ symbol on my keyboard (and _THAT_ word on my optical mouse) are really pissing me off.  Theyre my only remaining ties to microcrap...  so has anyone heard of a keyboard with no winkey!

 Where did you get that?
If it wasnt just a winkey with the winsymbol sanded off and tux shoved on I would be ecstatic but anyway that is sweet!
Where can I find a transfer of Tux but?

Hey that's fine, just some friendly advice.

Refalm - Is that a German keyboard or a dutch one?
-
no problem Linux Frank sorry if i got anal retentive at you.   (http://smile.gif)

-
I wish they had them for Logitech keyboards. I don't wanna lose my cordless k/board, I can't stand to use a corded one these days it feels wrong.

-
You can buy it as a German keyboard or separate as Linux-keys...

-
Get a flat head screwdriver and pop the keys off you lazy arse.

-
I noticed the Windows XP logo on the Compaqs at my school. What do you Linux-heads who used to use Wintel do about that? That and the key would annoy me to hell. It's bad enough having "Microsoft" srawled across the top of my mouse.

As far as the keys, I rip them out and shove epoxy down the holes (sort of like the extraction of a painful molar). I rip the logos off and replace them with "Penguin Inside" logos.

				Cool Keyboard! Kawaii! Jeng! Ahem.

I remember Tux saying that he wanted a keyboard that was cordless without the window keys on it. I remember the last time I went to HK that a shop that sold a cordless keyboard without the keys on it.

The only problem was that the layout is in mandarin keys-you get the normal qwerty layout but some chinese characters on the side- and the window keys were replaced because you get the modifer keys, like the Japanese ones, for Chinese Characters but at least it isn't Microsoft, right!?!

I am not sure if you are interested but I just thought I would let you know. (Sorry, I don't have any details-I was just browsing at the time.)

I pryed em off with a butterknife (a dingo ate my flat-head screwdriver).

I had a Microsoft mouse and shaved off the Microsoft logo and put a "Powered by Red-Hat" Sticker on it (You get them if you BUY!!! red-hat linux.)
-
It says the keys are not available right now  :(

 Dj
-
once they actually have those keys available im buyin em. i like my hp keyboard even though i can't use the web buttons  :( . unless anybody knows a driver or program to use them or another web keyboard (i could adapt it to hp's set). otherwise im gonna make one on my own..

for now i just flipped the win keys upside down. sometime ill get around to replacing them or at least sanding off the damn logo.
-
yes, you can use http://sourceforge.net/projects/lineak (http://sourceforge.net/projects/lineak)

I haven't tried it yet, but i have an annoying 'extra keys along the top' keyboard too, and it has 'win' keys

Failing that, liquid paper and vivid markers.
