Did anyone watch the keynote?? Though there wasnt a whole lot of new "Appliances", i thought that it was good. And Safari rocks!! Its based on Konquerer, and it is very very fast. there are some things missing, like tabs & an autofill feature, but it rocks!
anyways. i was going to go to the expo, it is only like a 3hour drive from here, but i got caught up in other things   :rolleyes:

i will have to wait until i get home. I am work, and all we have here is "stupid windows..."

if apple bundles its browser instead of IE, I do believe that this will be the end of Internet Explorer on the Mac, especially if it is openSource. And the great thing is, its not ited to the os, if i dont want it, i delete it. And i got the impression that it is. I know they released their modified code back to the community, but im not sure if it really is OSS...

Safari KICKS ASS! It is absolutely the fastest browser for X I've ever tried and, yes I admit it, faster than Chimera. BTW, does anyone have any idea why Apple recommends 10.2.3 for Safari?

if apple is a good opensource citizen, osx will have another kick ass browser, and konquerer will be way better for it

It's really fast, but definitely needs some polish. (like TABBED browsing!).
Great for a beta though!

I agree. Tabbed browsing is a must for every browser but since it's still a beta there's plenty of room for improvement.

Safari has quickly replaced chimera as default browser  :D

Can't help it's coolness!

I don't like the brushed metal look tho... I wan't a skinable look like Chimera. I love the speed.

I just hope Apple teams up with Chimera or something, cuz those guys have done such a bang up job, I feel like apple is kind of undercutting their competition when realy both thier goals are the same.

I would love to see the Chimera and Safari team join forces somehow.

Safari Kicks total Ass.  It can even render BMWUSA.com which only IE could do before.  It has replaced Omniweb as my default browser.
