I don't count as a "user", but when I get to use OS X on any Mac that I find (at school, stores, etc.), I stick it on the left. I don't know, I guess I prefer having more reading space.

bottom, the scale effect looks cooler that way.... and i didnt really like it on the sides. alot of programs i use have toolbars on the sides of the screen, and the dock gets in the way...

bottom. it not, it makes one side of the display too "heavy" and I feel like the picture is going to slide off the side of the screen!

darned psychological oddities that make you think that the Dock is real somehow and that it's actually adding weight to the picture! lol

Bottom on my PowerBook. Often on desktops, I like it on the side.

On the bottom part of the desktop. I don't know why. It just feels right when it's there. I also set it on autohide most of the ways or make it transparent using Clear Dock.   (http://smile.gif)

On the left, anchored to the bottom, using scale effect, no magnification.

It hides when I'm not using it.
