I have a host with no adds...
My ISP....
I forgot that they have no adds... anyways
the new site location is:
users.bigpond.com/tate0
anyways i will host big things/images on the 150m account still but now you can see my site
and i think it works with 800x600 and other resoultions now, i will test it!
-
Oh dear!
The site users.bigpond.com is running Microsoft-IIS/5.0 on Windows 2000.
Mind you, I found that out just by bumping into all those 404s on your site.

of course they fucking do! telstra has no mind of it's own! my girlfriend's brother has got a mac, and his browser is internet explorer, it came with links to the telstra pages all over the button bar. Also i think it came with the CD that his isp (also bigpond/telstra) sent him, since it is his only browser. I'm not slagging him, he doesn't give a shit, because he uses his computer as a typewriter and does not want to waste the time fiddling with the software, but what i am saying is that telstra is in bed with M$, still, i'm sure M$ doesn't give a shit either way, it just accepts the advertising money from telstra and that's it.

Oh the pain of having someone else host your site on their server. I remember those days. I was never more happy than the day I got my dns server and apache working, and was able to host my own website.

soon i will fix my webserver and give up this crap-ass tripod account i am using. hey!, i got a rant (and a reply to a rant) in The Abyss (http://abyss.servebeer.com). i posted the rant that IanC and pkd_lives had in the lounge.

Yes sadly my ISP uses ISS/Win 2k...
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Hopefully i will have Optus Net cable and host my own site. And tell bigpond, when i leave that im not using there shit ISP, because the run ISS. They could at least run apache for windows.

hey, just as an aside, master of reality, and i say this because i just clicked the link to the abyss and saw master of reality downloads, did you ever hear of the band "Masters of Reality"? I have their first album, it is not so hot, but their second album is utterly brilliant! by the time they recorded it, they had Ginger Baker (from "Cream") on the drums, and it's a great lp. Just thought you should know about it...

I might just look for that and see what they are like... maybe they will get a spot on my music downloads page. I used to have a lot of different music, but now i just have the three different Black Sabbath albums which are all hosted on different old angelfire accounts (back when you got 50MB)
