Same crap, new buzz-word.  Or maybe the people at MS had not clue what the hell .net was, so they just killed it by renaming it and making it something, or rather "nothing"

There has really been a lot of dispute around that name. I believe that even M$ executives didn't know what it stood for. They just came up with a name that would help them sell. Marketing arseholes.   :D

its like that episode of ducktales when fenton crackshell invented and markted a product that didnt exist...and everyone wanted it!!!!!!!!!!
