WinFS Gets the Axe - For Good

Had to figure this was coming... They can't even deliver on software thats been in development for over 10 years; is Vista next?

No basically they have already so overhyped Vista that to Axe it would be suicide.

What's going to happen is Vista is just going to suck, like we always thought.

That's probably right. I'd have a hard time believing it's too hard for them, and I can see how it would be in their interest to put things off for later releases so they extract more money from the customers, which is number one for them and would be for probably any company in that position.

Yeah, I saw that name too (Katmai) and thought it sounded familer ;)
