Spain illegalises p2p networks
KernelPanic:
This is a completly useless piece of legislatio, considering that the EUCD gives governments the power to clamp down on illegal distribution already - regardless of medium.
Either there is an ulterior motive here, or the heat has gotten to the Spanish.
I imagine TimeWarner will lobby against this, since in scuppers thier new BitTorrent based distributin model. I wonder if they have the power to make a difference?
H_TeXMeX_H:
You wonder ... with so many walls and cages being built ... where will the future lead ?
Pathos:
Not until our generation who understand these techologies get into power will all this bullshit end, with the ageing populations this may take a while.

Negative Ghost Rider, The pattern is full.
Not to delve into politics, but tomorrows leaders are allready picked, groomed and waiting their turn. By the time you speak of, we'll be entering a world of Corporate dominated governments with CEO's instead of prime ministers or presidents.
The grip business has on these kind of things is quite substantial.
