windows longhorn vs close minded people
Fett101:
Most Windows users are Windows users because they don't give damned. They don't know what a BIOS is. They don't think twice about thier computers. They just do what they always do.

Here are some suggestions as to why people stick with Microsoft products.
1.) They don't care about computers, efficiency, value, or quality.
2.) They probably use it at work and it was what they had to learn to do their job because Microsoft has a marketing bully syndrome and ate up the PC market.
3.) If they didn't learn it at work, they bought it in a home PC because that is what the store was selling and because of that marketing Microsoft is the most POPULAR among the general POPULACE.
4.) When you are spending $1000 or more of hard earned cash you want to spend it safely, and their is safety in numbers. The numbers favor Microsoft, once again the marketing.
5.) If someone has already learned a Microsoft system, chances are that they will not want to change, its natural to stay with what you know and resist change.
6.) Did I mention that these people probably don't care about computers, efficiency, value, or quality. I'll also add reliability as the REBOOT Fix isn't a real solution.
7.) The most probable reason is that they DON'T CARE ABOUT COMPUTERS.

I don't know what BIOS is....
Faust:
Boot Initiated Operating System. Because comp design is crap and non standardized and stuck in the past etecetera, the comp loads a very small OS from firmware, then passes control to that. Then the BIOS starts the Real OS. Or Windows, whatever the case may be.
