Why not use my idea...
Use a transperant png for the background, a black color background (as in the bgcolor thing) and white text. When the page renders in MSIE (which does not support transperant png's) you wont see the text.

(This reminds me of early 2002 when me, calum and a few others where just getting into web design) :)

How about both, just in case they have javascript disabled (you never know).

Did it to my site, althought slightly modified, don't want to link people to porn.

I just wanted to know if there was a way to make the "Welcome to my site" part not appear.  So that people without IE will not know I have a Java Script there.  That message is also annoying.

Only problem with the script though, is that if the user has modified their title, for example mine says "Let's all fuckmicrosoft.com" then it wouldn't work. I would change browsers, but what can I say? I'm too lazy
