I thought you had tried Lynx in the past, but then again late is better than never.

Are you using it on OS X, Linux or both?

linux. i opened it before, but didnt do anything with it. today, i was feeling adventurous

I'm using it on OS X as well (downloaded with Fink) and I use it whenever I get tired of graphics-heavy pages and just want to focus on some reading. Anyway, it's blindingly fast on dialup, let alone broadband.

Why not use Links? It can display tables. Lynx is too "cowdy", in my opinion.
