I've got a GF3 (non TI version, just the normal one, was expensive enough when I bought it   ) on a athlon 1400Mhz and it rocks. I could buy a GF4 ti 4600 but I'm not going to, all fps above 120 is unnoticable to the human eye and purely for bragging rights you should only buy a GF4 if you MUST have anti aliaising with resolutions of 1600x1200 orso ....

Ow ... and p4's suck if you look at the price/speed ratios, you're much better off with an athlon xp

right now... GF3+ is fine... but P4s are really a waste of money...  I hate intel for the P4... the P4 is just a marketing scheme.  if you ran a P4 and a P3 at the same frequency, the P3 would outperform it... though a P4 northwood would be closer.

they found a way they could actually slow down the processor, so that they could run it at a higher frequency more stable.  is that good? not really, but it lets them sell things with bigger numbers on them, and dumb consumers always like bigger numbers.
