Dude if you LOVE turn based RPGs...  seek help. There's still hope.    :D    If you dont its only a matter of time before you start talking to everyone in a lame voice and begin searching for a magic thingie that split into 6 pieces. Personally I hate turn based RPG's. Not going to get into that. Also, GC has lots of platformers, SMS is still good, but we have the new Rayman and Vexx (not that great but ok). I dont know much that the PS2 has in platformers besides Ratchet and Clank.

Why boycott arnotts?

Calum is saying we should boycott Nestle because they did something to some starving people.  Can't remember what now but at the time I was pissed off at them.

and
http://www.babymilkaction.org/pages/boycott.html
will tell you everything you need to know. basically nestle would rather actively employ people to spread lies which are directly responsible for human babies dying of malnutrition in large numbers than take a modest cut in their profit margin. Nestle employ people as "nurses", but their real job is to go around areas where people have not got much of an education and "instruct" them about how nestle powdered milk is really healthy for their baby, what happens is that many poor families will believe this, the only source of information they have, and spend all their money on powdered milk. they will then reconstitute this substandard milk with unsanitary water, whereupon their babies die a painful and needless death. But it doesn't matter because nestle have sold more units as a result, and that's what's important isn't it? free market in action and all that.

in the cruelest and most real sense nestle puts money ahead of lives, and because of the capitalist "i'm alright jack" mentality (or "not in my backyard" for australians), nobody in the "free" white world gives a shit about it.

They were also giving their product away to 3rd world mothers at a time, during this period the mothers would stop lactating and were stuck using Nestle's crap...

Shit! I didnt realise Nestle were that cruel!

Thats fu(k3n shocking!....why hasnt anything been done???!
By the way thanks for the links.

Ohhhh and to that reply ("why boycott Arnotts?").
Well once Arnotts were an Australian owned company until an American giant came along and bought them out (Campbels...think thats how its spelt)......ever since... they have collected all the profits and taken them back to America (obviously), bullied supermarkets into only shelving their products, claimed they are still an Aussie company and now they are suing good old Dick Smith for trying to create some competition!!

They are going to pay for taking on Dick Smith!!

Go Dick Smith.  Especially his matches.  Love the matches.

Dick Smith version matches - proudly all Australian!

"official" Dick Smith matches page

quote:
Smith Wins Dickheads Dispute:
Businessman and philanthropist Dick Smith has emerged victorious from a three-year legal fight over the right to produce matches under the moniker Dickheads. Swedish company Intermatch Sweden Aktiebolag opposed the granting of a trade mark to Mr Smith's company, Dick Smith Investments. It claimed Dickheads was a "direct copy" of its own famous brand of matches - Redheads, which it bought from Australian company Bryant and May. Bit Australian Trade Marks Office hearing delegate Claudia Murray found none of the Swedish company's objections could be upheld, ordering it to pay Smith's legal bills. (Source: Yahoo)
