I haven't yet tried any of the 5.0 versions, in fact Im stil back at 4.7, but it works, and that is all I need.

Both 4.9 and 5.1 worked very well, and much better than 5.2. It's been like four times I've been trying to install 5.2 before I could even get it to work.

And since when are the apps installed with sysinstall in /usr/local/bin instead of /usr/bin ??? WTF? Maybe my memory is failing, but I recall that mc (midc in the old versions) used to be in /usr/bin, not in /usr/local/bin.

Edit: Finished ranting. I'll STFU and wait for the STABLE release. But I'm so impatient, and the STABLE branch isn't going to be until the 5.3, which is in March!
