Fair enough. As for me, I'm not a fan of Linux, but I do like FreeBSD.

Uipe:
FreeBSD 5.2 is out for about some time as it passed to stabel? or is it still just the current release?

Laukev7:
Hmm, I tried to install 5.2, but so far it looks very buggy, at least the installer (never could finish the installation). First, when I put in the boot floppies, it shows all the commands like 'load -t mfsroot /mfsroot (before the system boots, I mean). Then, when I partition my hard drive, I get a message saying that the geometry was incorrectly detected (which didn't happen with FreeBSD 5.1 or 4.9). Then, after I manually set up the geometry of my hard drive (ad1), I got all kinds of errors during the installation, like 'Error on partition /: disk full'.

FreeBSD is leetz0r, i will try it when I can get my hands on it.

Laukev7:
Crap. I finished installing it, and it fucked up my Windoze partition. What's worse, the X server doesn't even work! I've never had so many problems with FreeBSD before!
