Crunchy(Cracked)Butter:
I was going to preorder SuSE 8.1 for my computers at home but i checked their hardware database and they still cannot accomodate the hardware on my laptop, i had bought 7.3 as well.  At time i find their search engine very hard to use and it doesn't list everything i need.

I am also playing with Lycoris build 46 at the moment buy i feel this can be used for my gf more than anything.  As i feel it is suited for her.

However Redhat 8 might prove the ticket.   Its only

Master of Reality:
Redhat (and most other distros) are cheaper than SuSe because it is free to download. SuSe costs money no matter what, it is proprietary.
All your paying for the redhat CD is for the actaul CD and the support book(S) that usually come with it.

You need a PPC version of Linux to run on a Mac.
Here is a list of them

All you need to run redhat is 32MB of RAM. and a hardrive at leat 20 MB

voidmain:
Actually you *can* download SuSe at no charge, just not in ISO form. You can build your own ISO if you want. I choose not to.

Crunchy(Cracked)Butter:
Why can you not download it as an ISO?

Thanks for the link btw.

Master of Reality:
they like money. OpenBSD is like that too, but tehy only have 6 packages that you need to dl and burn onto a CD to make it installable.
