microsoft is trying to over come the console world, the would never happend because as long ps2 is alive won't happend.. and even the console has bug , damn it micrsoft when yah going to realize the you SUCK!!

The idea of the Xbox was to get into the console market, and at the start of the XBox campaign MS said they were actually expecting loses.

Once again it is a proven sign of how MS is a prick, and kills the competiton. They have the money to spend and it kills other consoles.

The good news is that the console market is less gullible then the PC market.

First off, competent anti-MS gamers avoid the X-box because of anti-MS reasons.

Then there is those competent gamers who know that there is material reasons as to why the X-box sucks, and don't need to care about who made it.

Ok downsides, are that people can get thoughts like:

-This console ain't going down hill, it's backed by MS, such a rich company!

-Windows is great! X-box will carry on the legacy.

-Look at that technology!

So MS has disadvantges, but it also has advantges.

But now MS has a competitor who can keep up with them. Sony is a very rich company and they will stop at nothing to defeat MS. Im personally all for it too, the playstation 2 is so far the best game system in terms of games, and value considering it has a great deal of low cost games, which is not something I can say about xbox. The competition will only benefit us gamers in that we will see better technology and better games.

ok, i'm not a console gamer, nor do i like consoles (sorry, no real reason for it, just don't like the controls. all my gaming is done on pc, but anyway...), but my friends who do seem to like it a lot *cringe*. they keep trying to get me to play 'halo' on it cause i'm awesome in first person shooters, but i haven't so far...

from the hardware standpoint, xbox is the best console out. acutally, i shouldn't say console, because it isn't a console: it's a pc, but its processor is faster, graphics card (nvidia i think) is better, ect..

from the games view, i've been seeing a lot of games that are "xbox-only" and i'm losing confidence in the thought of M$ failing in the console world...
