Doogee:
how about slack 9?

edisav:
I've used Mandrake 9.1, I like it a lot and so far so good! Slack is harder and the documentation is extremely weak, although the OS is great. Based on my own experience, Slack isn't a good choice for beginners but awesome for advanced users.

I play a lot with the desicion of Mandrake or RH, but I think I'll stay with Mandrake.

Unfortunately I only downloaded one CD from Mandrake and I've been trying to download the rest, but the speeds are painfully slow and it'll take forever to download CDs 2 and 3. Does anyone know when it will hit the shelves? I prefer no to buy it over the net.

slack isn't as easy because they use the basic gnome/kde (imo). redhat modifies these to include a lot of ease of use features that i haven't found in slackware's. (also, i've only use used slack9 for like a day or two in all, so i can't compare fairly)

I was waiting for you to say "completely destroy KDE", but I guess you're not on the ball.
