Red hat is server/desktop distro

Mandrake is SAID to be a desktop distro

Mandrake easier to use, run, and manage than RedHat

but because Redhat dosen't put their effort into ease of use, like Mandrake, it has become some what more flexable than Mandrake

They are both RPM based, and Mandrake is Based off of RedHat, like so many other distros(SuSE lincluded), but it has evolved into a branch far from red hat on the Linux tree.

I have RedHAt, Mandrake and SuSE on my computer.

Mandrake and Redhat are two totaly different experiences.

Mandrake makes you feel happy, builds your confidence, you smile when things open, bend your head to the side, and sigh in satisfaction

Red Hat......you feel like you should be doing something the whole time your using it.  You can really tell it was designed for the corperate office, not alot of fun.  I like Blucurve though

thats the redhat spin on the GUI everything is nice and clean and professional.  KDE and Gnome look EXACTLY the same in Redhat 9
