Need some ideas for a new network

Doogee:
Ok i currently have a 4 port ADSL router, all these ports are full.

When i get unlimited adsl (very soon) im going to want to run a webserver and stuff through it. the thing is i dont have the money to go and buy myself a hub so ive got more ports.

What i was wondering is that if there was a way to put two NICs in my server computer (which will be a p2 300, my main pc is a celery 700) and then run my celery into one nic and then the other nic goes to the ADSL router, providing my main PC with the internet (and probably a nifty firewall) while still runing a working webserver.

Of course the server will run linux.

SAJChurchey:
Yes,

That's a fairly typical use.  You'll have to read HOWTO's on routing w/ Linux, and you might want to read up on ip tables so you can create the firewall necessary.

Good Luck

Doogee:
Thanks, this is a long term project seeing dad is borrowing the computer that is going to be my server.

Ill probably need help all the way through because im a big time networking newbie.

EDIT: Sorry, but i honestly dont even know what im looking for, apparently my ADSL router has a firewall in it so lets forget about the linux box as a firewall. Can you point me in the right direction because i get the this TLDP site and i dont know what to look for!

KernelPanic:
Why not just buy a cheap 4 port hub? it won't cost much more and you'll get better connectivity.

Or are you trying to set up a DMZ?
