Hey XP loser, when was the last time you wen't to your advertised home page?  It seems that 95% of everyone that voted thinks linux is great.  I guess that is why you think you have to come here to try to convert people to XP, not even your buddies agree with you.

With you Linux geeks it's always about Debian huh?  Sorry, but I don't have time to set up that confounded OS; just standing 2 minutes in #debian at irc.openprojects.net shows how much trouble people have with it.  Debian doesn't even have KDE 3 included (woody won't either, you'll have to wait a year and a half for sid to come out, haahh)

PS what is this crap about Windows XP crashing?  That's never happened to me.

Number one, Needledick, DON'T call me a geek- I'm a 55 year old grandfather, ex-biker, and general bad-ass that likes to fuck with arrogant assholes like you..  Number two, I had Debian "woody" up and running in 45 minutes- do that with XP.  Number three, if I want KDE 3 I'll compile it from source; no big deal.  Number four, If you knew ANYTHING about Linux, particularly Debian, you might have some basic understanding of how a computer actually works.  The SysAdmin where I work is a MSCE, but he can't even get a Linux install up and running; I know, because I've given him 5 different distros, all simple installs.  Jeez, what do they teach in those certification courses, I've NEVER had any formal training of any kind?
To sum it all up, fuck you, and everyone like you, including your cat.

mcse, hmm, from what my dad tells me he went to get mcse and he only took one exam, he says it was quite useless and for linux installs, redhat7.3 and debian are easyer to install then windows, and if you can install windows you can install FreeBSD and NetBSD /*can't say the say about slackware though, or atleast the way i did it*/ o and for lindows, the fact about the dev people and the gpl, they are trying to correct that. o and for debian. it is the most *stable* version of linux i have used, hehe, its a pentium 60, and it even runs X, try to get a modern version of windows to do that. well a modern version of linux can. heres the uptime. i would let people ssh into the box, but i don't trust people with my current router setup.
choasforages@choasnet_deb:~$ uptime
 11:11pm  up 20 days, 10:02,  1 user,  load average: 1.23, 1.06, 1.02

as for the machine itself, i guess i could post the output of
cat /proc/cpuinfo

and for creedon's speech, one would have say nicely put

as for XwrinkleyPISShole i find it amusing that u only give credit to the two major gui's, what about icewm, windowmaker /*it is eleagant*/, enlightenment/*more beutiful than xp could hope to be*/, blackbox/*works good on slower systems*/, and fvwm /*good for those reelly old systems and for the old stereotypical *NIX hacker look and i think it is pretty cool*/
