No. I would pick KDE over Gnome any time. But I don't use either of them, so it doesn't really matter to me.

I use IceWM and WindowMaker.

I found what causes Gnome to go to shit.
In a file, if you have MP3s, if you select to view items as music, it makes Gnome a bit deranged. Its fixable if you just log out.

I am not messing with appearance settings though, cause somewhere there is a bug in there.

And i think you guys are right. KDE is more stable than Gnome but i still like Gnome for editing files and such.

How do the KDE/GNOME alternatives compare to KDE speedwise? It might be worth a look, IF I don't give up alot of functionallity. Cuz it seems like KDE has alot of options besides actual desktop appearance.

What I found funny was an argument I heard about how Linux GUI's don't look as nice as Wind0ze. I've found both KDE/GNOME to look excellent, and IMO their much better functionality/appearance wise then wind0ze! Im amazed at how customizable KDE was(unsure of Gnome). I would of never imagined neat little things like having 10 desktops!
