Can't shake a stick at it? I wouldn't even touch Windows with a 10-foot pole, let alone shake a stick at it.   :D

And that's saying a LOT; Windows 9x theoretically had a more advanced architecture than Mac OS, with protected memory and preemptive multitasking, but it was so crappy that it was actually LESS stable than the ageing Mac OS with cooperative multitasking and no protected memory.

I've found OS 9 (barring 9.0.1) to be much more fault tolerant than 9x.

something goes down in 9x, it's very likely a bluescreen is coming.

In 9, guard pages and kickassity left 9x behind. not to mention the craptasticality of DOS hoverin' around in the shadows. DOS was the worst. 9x, except for maybe 95 sucked.

95 honestly wasn't so bad, because 98 brought all the bullshit. 98 was a little more stable, not really much slower, but it was BLOAT WORLD.

I've heard there will be (the only good point to having teachers as parents that I've found so far).

Hey Macman, perhaps you could lease out you parents (per hour say), "Rent a parent", make little cash and we all get cheap macs. Sounds like a cool and fair deal to me.  ;)
