There is absolutely no reason for me to be posting this but to say I just got my brand-new 1 GHz Powerbook with SuperDrive, 1 GB RAM, and AirPort yesterday, and it owns you thoroughly.

(Of course, to afford this, I had to sell not one, but TWO computers.)

Thank you, and good day.    :D

Out of date?  What the hell are you guys talking about, I use my 400mhz g3 [B&W] all the time.  It may not be as good as my dual 1ghz but its still a great machine.

Well I still think one of the best machines I own is my (well not really - my dads but mine to use) 20th Anniversary Macintosh

I still cannot believe that (in the US) some of these beautiful mac computers have been found in dumpsters!

They are really quite usable when you upgrade them with  a G3 upgrade card - and to think that this 1997 machine is faster than some things than wind0s (eg. browsing around folders).

They were horribly overpriced. Wasn't it like 10,000 bucks or some rediculous amount.

Owe how I wish for such presision hardware as i sit here typeing on my clunck box. At least I have freedom. Even if the only free operating system was an utter peice of shit, i value freedom over convenience.

But still apple hardware rocks, My PC has broken down because of countless reasons, from bugs in the patch of a patch of a patch bios, or just because Intel Machine code is utter shit.

Fuck PCS, give me some real hardware (Sun UltraSparc, Compaq Alpha, or Apple G4) running with the best Operating System OS in the world (Linux) anyday!

Blue and White G3 here. Made in 1999, still solid as a rock. 550 MHz G3 upgrade, Radeon and Rage with dual monitors. Original matching 15" LCD studio display, 896 megs ram. I'm still totally happy with it and will continue to use it for some time, unless something really compelling comes out at MW WExpo next month.

Well not out of date. Anything that can run Warcraft III, iTunes, Limewire, and Photoshop at the same time is not out of date, but all the super-powerful machines came out about a month after I bought mine. Seems like I've been left in the dust.

I'm typing this on my Linux box, but my beloved Macs are right next to it:

- PowerComputing (yes, a clone) 604 @ 120MHz
- Macintosh LC (damn near original condition) 68020 @ 16MHz
