Yes the mac loan program is an excelent idea. It's what I did for my iMac back in the day. Also, if you are in school, Apple offers a student discount.

This is a very good deal, and if you want a new G4 go for it. I can vouch that they are splendid machines worth every penny.

Not sure, but I don't see why not. Give Apple a call, surely they will be more than willing to work something out. Their real good about making deals and wont try and shaft ya

Good luck!

HAHA

Don't call tech support, just call the 1800 on the Apple store home page and talk to a sales rep. It's not that bad, I have delt with them before they are real respectable etc.

Another place you might try is MacMall, MacWarehouse, and Outpost, sometimes they have better deals on Hardware than Apple does.

I'm sure you can work out a good deal.

Well Apple will charge you anywhere from 10 percent to over 26 percent interest depending on your credit rating.  There might be better deals for students.  It also looks like they have a deal where if you can pay it off in 2 months they won't charge you interest.

I just know that if I had little cash, and a serious Mac jones.....I'd get one any way I could.

Depends on where in the USA you live. go here for more info.

If you don't live in the USA, Apple Canada only supplies educational discounts to teachers and staff, not students.   :(

lol, if only I had to deal with a decision that tough every day.

i'd go with the 17" unless you want to impress the chicas with the size of your monitor.

FYI, You can't fake it with Apple.  If you say that you are a college student they will require you send in a Valid Student ID via FAX or email before they will even consider the loan or discount.
