need a slick GUI/shell for DR-DOS...
« on: 11 February 2002, 20:30 »
Basically... I've got an old pentium 100 laptop with a 1gig HD and 16M of ram... I'm running DR-DOS on it and am looking for a slick GUI/shell to run on it.

I have Desktop2 installed and hate it. Anyone have any suggestions for one I can DL and install... even a nominal registration fee would be ok, although I'd rather keep it freeware.

Thx in advance,

ravuya

I have a bunch of disks of DesqView/X - an X-Windows-like DOS shell. I've tried to install it on DRDOS, but I haven't managed to get the installer to run. Maybe you'd have better luck.
