I can't believe the price on those cards. Boy times are a changin'. The switch is actually *extremely* cheap compared to what I had to pay for 3com fibre switches. I believe at the time I bought them (probably 3 or 4 years ago) I paid around $10,000US per switch and if I recall they each had 8 fibre ports. But the prices will fall. Have you looked into any other card/switch combos?
