petition statement:
Welcome Mortals, for now is the time of our choosing; what shall you be choosing? the number of hours in a day of course. This could be a very big decision in the course of mankind, so choose carefully. What I and my associates are proposing is this: changing the current day from 24 hours long to 32 hours long. This is only a mere 8 hours difference, which will not effect our sleep in any way other than make us more efficient. This will effect many other things which i have planned, theses things include:
number of days in a year
leap years
length of week.
The number of hours in a year will not change from 8760 hours. This will mean that there will be 273 days per year. There is 24 hours left at the end of each year, so every four years we will have 3 extra holidays.
The sun will not be running on time anymore, but what dictates that our lives must fully revolve around when the sun is on our side of the earth?
I am however positive that this will greatly benefit our television networks. Most of the television show only make 3X episodes and the rest of the year is just re-runs. Well, now your favorite television show can be a new one every day and you wont have to wait once a week for it to come on air due to not being able to fit them all in a day.
The Length of week will stay the same as to not totally confuse the world. It will be 7 days just like always and with 39 weeks a year.
So please, mortals of earth, come together and sign this petition to lengthen the day to 32 hours long. For it will greatly improve our health, entertainment, adaptability, and most of all our global community.

I must digress Bobby, not as teh anti-bob, but as a 1337 d00d.
It would bring NO BENEFIT to humanity to change our day length. If we did not compensate by working 33% longer, we would be 33% less richer. So if we worked 33% longer, we would not be gaining any more spare time.
However, if we had 32 hour days and worldwide all employers agreed to give a 33% raise in all wages, this plan would greatly increase quality of life. Of course the employers woulden't go along.

fuck off and die. Is that all your about? Material items and money? Your siding with the greedy corporations and want all the money for yourself. Why the hell couldnt we work two 8 hour shifts in one day???
you could get 8 hours sleep, wake up, go work 8 hours, go play for 8 hours, go work for 8 hours.
