Most Tech support workers have yet to have thier brain chips with built in 802.11 and ESP modules installed, so it's best to cut them some slack.

Yeah sadly all IT people have to think you're stupid, because they don't have ESP. Just add a P.S. at the bottom telling him not to waste his time with long explanations, that you are a programmer and can probably understand whatever he says   .
