Re: lazygamer

You're right, and I can think of a few anti-Palladium arguments that should be pretty effective:

1) Palladium guarantees no viruses! - Mac and Linux are virus free already, no Palladium required.  Most computer security problems are due to massive security loopholes in MS products anyway.

2) Palladium will bring you new and more exciting multimedia web content! - But you won't be able to play mp3s, or videos, or even home videos you've uploaded from your digital video camera, or be able to make backup copies of your CDs or DVDs in case of loss or damage.  Also, 65% of your favourite web sites will disappear if Microsoft decides they are not Palladium-approved.

3) Everybody uses Microsoft! - Except the millions of users of Linux, who know that once you've tried REAL computing, you never go back to Microsoft.  IBM and Dell have both confirmed their commitment to Linux as the OS of the future - as have online retailers including Amazon.com.  Apple has also adopted UNIX as the basis of its awesome Mac OS X, which was developed with the assistance of the Open Source community (who would cease to function under the regime of Palladium).

Make no mistake, Palladium and TCPA are instruments of fascism and nothing less.  To submit to them is to submit your control over your own PC forever.  The task ahead of us is to present these facts with the most compelling evidence available, and to spread the word!

Hey folks, I got very Ill since the fourth and was unable to do anything other than lay down and suck food thrugh a straw.

I actually got rushed to the ER for the first time in like ever!

Needless to say it was a pretty scary experience, so I have done little work on the site since the fourth, but Im back on it. Hopefully I'll have it up by the end of the week.

So keep posting links and other info. folks.

EDIT

Hey Calum and anyone else who want's to, can write their own thoughts on the isue. I can post them on the site as well.

But as I said, I'm not the best writter in the world, and I intend to make the site very straight forward and not to sensational or inflamatory. Just factual.

So far I think I may submit the main page as an article for the MES. It reads good as one, and with minor alterations it should work.

The working title is "TCPA/Palladium, putting a collar on Guttenberg"
