Yes, it would, because as we all know gloves don't work with modern active scanners. A heated Jell-O cast of the fingerprint residual though... :cool:. At any rate, just switch this over to a standard keypad. Remember to wipe it clean when you leave though, or someone might baby powder it and break in whilst you're gone.

I would, but if you think I'm letting RFIDs anywhere near my clothes you're loony. Take the article description, chuck it in an SQL database, and associate it with a particular event ("everyday", "formal dinner", "new cult member induction" come to mind).

The phone is digital anyway. Don't believe me? Try calling out during a severe power outage. You're screwed. Stick to Simbian cell phones, or older Nokias. The windows have emergency release levers, but this - again - is only in my Linux-based house. Of course, escaping out a window rather than the front door is a minor inconvenience, but at least Door_Module() can be fixed with a modicum of tinkering and the aid of a Phillips-head screwdriver.

This would be possible in my house as well, but it would at least compare "story-spookiness" to "lighting-level" and "child-age" before making such adjustments. Such is the majick of SQL.

Might be one of those doors with Magnet bolts (MagBolts) that fire up and downwards to open and release.:rolleyes:
I like the idea of an open source house.. I'd sleep better knowing it wouldnt crash in 5 minutes.. :D
