after picking myself up and dusting it off, i have returned. this time for quite a while. on this subject, i didn't see any posts on audacity, and another audio project, ardour. ive been playing with audacity to take a peek at amisonic pcm files, but i havn't had much luck with ardour.

audacity has started to actually become usable recently, i apt-getted it on RH not long ago and have found it (and the plugins that come in that version) to be a very good (but still long way to go, i mean stable really) alternative to sound forge, meaning i don't have to reboot anymore to master songs! ardour, have not used it yet.... or rosegarden for that matter. i do have a whole forum for this sort of discussion on my board at http://calumsmusic.netfirms.com/ but nobody seems to be going for it...
