Haha, now I really do sound like an idiot.

Either way, the Aircraft need Oil. They don't do much without aircraft. The fuel of cruise missiles needs oil. Sure, you can run around on your nuculear fission all you wan't, but it still needs other things.

Yeah, all that weight, AND GET IT TO FLY. Not to mention what happens when one crashes. How about we run the software on them with Linux ac patched kernel's as well?
