I tried the Mac version at school today.  Seems quite fast and stable, and the interface is pretty much exactly that of Mozilla suite.

Me using SeaMonkey to browse Microsuck:


I wanted to get a shot of Firefox, SeaMonkey and DeerPark all running together, but you can't run Firefox and DeerPark at the same time.

Personally, I have always liked Mozilla Suite better than Firefox, and SeaMonkey is all that.  Too bad I have gotten used to Firefox extensions.

Export your Opera bookmarks, and import them to anything else.  Go to bookmarks >> manage_bookmarks, and from there choose file >> export_as_html.  SeaMonkey and Firefox can import html bookmark files.

Further testing shows that the Mac version leaks memory badly.  Back to Safari for that machine.

I've noticed that Safari is the only browser that really kicks ass on the Mac.  Mozilla 1.8 is okay, Firefox is slow, and IE is crippled.  I'm starting to wonder if this is a coincidence.

Try Opera for Mac yet?  I installed it but used it for only a few minutes.

What the hell, might as well give it a shot, my part of the country has been crippled by fear of a hurricane.  I aint going nowhere. :(

I'll give Opera props on the smartness of their webpage - it didn't need any input from me to recognize that I was using a Mac.  I guess if my browser identifies itself as Safari, it isn't to difficult to guess which version of Opera I might want.

Opera on the Mac seems okay.  Not as fast as Safari - althought that might be a cache issue at this point.  Also, it's not 100% Aqua-pretty - in fact, it looks kinda ghetto, compared to some apps.  It's much prettier on Linux, compared to gtk.  Of course that may be a monitor issue, because gtk looks GOOD on my Apple.

Pretty neat trick, importing Safari bookmarks automatically.
