some bum with red shoes:
well SuSE 10.0..... what do you think like it? hate it?  i just installed it because 9.1 was pissing me off, new features are nice . oh and note do not suspend if you dual boot it will only boot to suse afterwords i had to go and mess with grub after that. but other than the small bugs I like it

piratePenguin:
I installed SuSE 9.1 personal edition once and LOVED it.

Then I discovered that it didn't have gcc so I couldn't compile isdn4k-utils to get on the net...
What a disaster, "SuSE sucks", back to Slackware.

It was just not possible to get online, at the time. some bum with red shoes, do you have the personal edition? Is gcc in the repositories?

The free version has GCC, so there's no reason you shouldn't have been able to get it.
