The personal edition of at least 9.1 did _not_ have gcc on the CD.

some bum with red shoes:
im not shure ill have to check some time all i know is the stoped with pro and personal editions and made 10.0 and later free all around

Master of Reality:
i thought suse 10.0 was pretty good. It was the only distro i could get that would support my graphics right from install and has a very good 64bit version.

some bum with red shoes:
1. at piratePenguin i not sure but i think that if you go to YaST/software managment and do a search for gcc it will have it but you need to install it from the CD.
2. at master of reality yes i have a amd 64 and the was another reason to upgrade was the 64bit usage and it suported my card out of the box at 9.1

still usuing it and loving it
