You should have asked, "How do I get unstuck"...

I have 2 questions:

1.) How are you stuck?
2.) Are you stuck or are you really trying to convince us to give you windows support?

Yeah insomnia is right, format C: will fix all those problems.  Please everyone, do *not* fix this persons Windows problems no matter how stupid and easy they are.  If s/he wants to use Windows they can fix it themselves.

i have a suggestion.
look at the big picture. on one hand you have m$. they claim to do,have, say, alot.
they claim to have the best support in the business. INTHE BUSINESS!
so why are you at the one of the more famous anti m$ sites looking for help?
now i could go on about this and that about m$ but im not.
my advice: your stuck in a small hole. either die or climb out.

only you can prevent dumass behavior, only you.

Sorry Chaotic,

This is the Anti M$ forum, if we told you how to make it better that would be totally against the whole point of this site. We do not condone or encourage the use of M$ software of any sort for reasons, reasons you only seems to know to well.

We can however suggest that you use an alternative that actually works and that would come from a company that does not engage in highly questionable business tatics. Or is not subject to frequent viral attacks because of poor craftmanship.

Why not investigate setting up a partition with one of the  Free Linux distros on it, so you won't have to spend any more money, then perhaps you will then see the light and delete XP altogether.

who?

and they probably said it (at least said it correctly) a few years ago when it was a little hard to work with. I'd suggest RedHat 9, very easy. I think most people would tell you to run to mandrake but I dont really like it, you might. you should give it a shot at least, what do u have to lose?

I installed Red Hat 9 "out the box" with no problems. (There is a problem with Win Modems but my card is ok)

I haven't had to do anything geeky.  For Internet, email, word processing (spreadsheets etc) it worked fine.  No tweeking at all.

I've got it on an old AMD 500.

Give it a go.  It is free, but a big download - too big for most.  You can buy it, if you do it's really cheap (
