Power Management

Hi all,

After about 5 minutes, I find the monitor going off..The APM settings in the KDE control centre are disabled. Does anyone know as to why the monitor goes off? I would like to change the timing.

Btw, the APM settings in the BIOS are disabled too.

Also, after installing the Nvidia driver, I am unable to suspend the system using the command apm -s

The following error comes up...

quote:

apm: Suspend was vetoed

thanks,
