Moving to Linux fom winblows

Quake III under Linux is faster than under Win*. And don't pirate M$'s filthy software, let alone buy it. And don't listen to CTRL+ALT+DEL, he's admitted to never having actually used Linux so I don't know what kind of valid input he can give on the subject.

I loved the way Ctrl+Alt+Delete discreetly refered to  pirate copies of Windoze 2000 as free. You can also keep using Win 98 on a small partition and dual boot with Linux. As far as I've heard, I agree with VoidMain that QuakeIII runs quicker under Linux.

Well I can only go by personal experience. More than an additional 20FPS on the Linux side.

Kewl, I didnt know they had Direct X for Linux.  
Hmmmm, so I would be able to play games on Linux? I dont really want to partition my HD and stuff cuz my HD is only 12gig and I download alot of avi movies and stuff.

I need to know if I can play games against windows box on lan parties though. It would really suck going to LAN parties and not being able to play against anyone. Anyone ever tried it?
